Bogor, Indonesia – Vaksindo participated in the 2026 NICAB Workshop, organized under the KOICA–ICAB Project (Capacity Building for the Center for Agriculture and Bioscience of IPB University in Indonesia 2022–2028). The workshop supports the establishment of the National Instrumentation Center for Agriculture and Bioscience (NICAB) at IPB University through collaboration among the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), IPB University, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdiktisaintek). 

As part of the KOICA–ICAB Project, the workshop brought together researchers, policymakers, universities, industry representatives, and international partners from Indonesia and the Republic of Korea to discuss strategies for strengthening Indonesia's bioscience research ecosystem. The program focuses on enhancing scientific infrastructure, advancing research-driven innovation, accelerating technology transfer, and fostering collaboration among academia, government, and industry to support national priorities in agriculture, bioscience, food security, and sustainable development. 

Representing Vaksindo, Khrisna Putera, Business Development Executive, participated as a panelist in the "Academy and Industry Cooperation" discussion session, focusing on Animal Cell Culture, alongside Prof. Arief Boediono, Faculty Member of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at IPB University, as well as other industry representatives. The session highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry to accelerate innovation in animal cell culture and transform scientific research into practical applications that deliver meaningful benefits to the animal health sector. 

As a research-driven vaccine company, Vaksindo believes that sustainable innovation is built through strong collaboration among academic institutions, research organizations, and industry. In line with this commitment, Vaksindo is currently conducting collaborative research with Seoul National University (SNU) and IPB University on the development of animal cell culture technology. This initiative reflects the company's dedication to advancing animal helath technologies through scientific collaboration.  

The 2026 NICAB Workshop served not only as a platform for scientific knowledge exchange but also as an opportunity to establish strategic partnerships among academia, government institutions, industry, and international stakeholders. Through these cross-sector interactions, the workshop reinforced the importance of an integrated innovation ecosystem in strengthening national research capacity, accelerating the commercialization of research outcomes, and supporting sustainable economic development.
