Strengthening Indonesia-Iraq Collaboration in Animal Health, Vaksindo Supports Livestock Disease Management
Jakarta, February 6, 2025 — To strengthen cooperation in the field of animal health, a delegation from the Iraqi government and animal health companies visited the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia on Thursday (6/2). The meeting, initiated by PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara (Vaksindo), a subsidiary of JAPFA, was held at the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health of the Ministry of Agriculture. The discussion focused on collaboration between the two countries to enhance animal health and control zoonotic diseases.
The event was attended by Dr. drh. Agung Suganda, M.Si, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health; Dr. Imron Suandy, MVPH, Director of Animal Health; and Dr. Teguh Yodiantara Prajitno, Head of Animal Health and Livestock Equipment at JAPFA (Vaksindo), along with their teams. Moving forward, Iraq will become a strategic partner in collaborating to improve animal health. Today, we formulated a more concrete cooperation plan, including field visits to Vaksindo’s facilities."
As a follow-up to this meeting, both parties agreed to develop a concrete action plan to address animal health issues in Iraq. It is hoped that through this collaboration, the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Iraq in livestock and animal health will grow stronger and mutually beneficial.
